FOURTY
The fourty is related to judgement. Fourty years wandering in the wilderness, fourty years of manna, fourty years they bore their iniquity, fourty of God's anger towards Israel, and the shoes and clothing lasted fourty years.(Exd 16:35, Num 14:33, Num 14:34, Num 32:13, Deu 8:4, Deu 29:5)
Fourty is also something good, because Isaac, who is a type of Christ is married to Rebekah.(Gen 25:20) Rebekah favored Jacob as the church favors and protects Israel.
Joshua, whose Hebrew name is equivalent to Jesus. Joshua led them into the land, and Jesus will lead them into the inheritance of the land. Joshua was fourty years old, when he was sent in to spy out the land.(Jos 14:7)
David and many of the other good kings of Israel reigned for fourty years.
The lame man who was healed in Acts 4 was lame over 40 years.(Acts 4:22)
Moses was 40 when he visited the children of Israel.(Acts 7:23)
It was 40 years that Moses was in the wilderness, before he saw the burning bush.(Acts 7:30)
Gen 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
There was a seven before the fourty.
Gen 7:12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
When the flood came, it rained 40 days and nights.
Exd 24:18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.
When Moses came back, he had a plan for the tabernacle including the ark.
Exd 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Deu 9:9 When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, [even] the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
Deu 9:11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, [that] the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, [even] the tables of the covenant.

Fourty is interesting, so is three and seven.
1Sa 30:12 And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk [any] water, three days and three nights.
Jon 1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Job 2:13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that [his] grief was very great.
