Dear Friends,

Salvation is a gift of God, only requiring that we believe in Christ, and his completed work on the cross. Although some works will follow, it is by grace we are saved though faith in him.

Eph 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Jhn 6:28,29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Jhn 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

1Jo 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Although there are rewards that we might be better depending on what we do, the gift of life is exactly that, a gift.

Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Thank God for the gift of Jesus Christ!

Blessings,
